Dr. Kaushal K. Vakil, DDS, is a Houston native who brings more than 20 years of private-practice experience to Northwest General Dentistry. His background includes extensive dental education, postgraduate residency training, continuing education, and additional training in implant surgery and prosthetics.
Having grown up in Houston, Dr. Vakil is proud to provide dental care in the community he has long called home. He takes a patient-focused approach to dentistry, emphasizing clear communication and helping patients understand their oral health and treatment options.
Dr. Vakil began his education at the University of Texas at Austin, where he completed his undergraduate studies. He continued his dental education at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1999.
After dental school, Dr. Vakil completed a General Practice Residency in 2000 at Central Texas Veterans Hospital in Temple, Texas. This additional postgraduate training further developed his clinical experience and prepared him to provide comprehensive dental care.
Dr. Vakil believes that continuing education is an important part of providing quality dental care. He regularly participates in continuing education seminars to stay informed about developments in dentistry, including techniques and procedures in cosmetic and restorative dentistry.
He has also completed a certification in Implant Surgery and Prosthetics. His professional background includes experience with comprehensive implant therapy, adding to his broad clinical training and experience.
